Julie and her parents had just moved from Texas to California. Her mom had to transfer hospitals due to the lack of nurses in the Walnut Creek Psych Ward. Julie absolutely hated Texas, so she was more than thrilled to finally get out of that place. Once the moving trucks were all packed up, the Ackermans were on their way to sunny and beautiful California. After a full day of driving they finally arrived. When they pulled into the driveway at their new house, Julie became even more excited to live there. The house was on the beach and a five minute walk from her new school. After getting to know the town a little better, Julie’s family began to move into their house. Julie walked up the stairs to find her room. When she opened the nearest door she walked in. As she was looking around the room she spotted a piece of fabric hanging on the wall. She walked over to the fabric and lifted it up. Under the fabric was news articles about escapees from the Walnut Creek Psych Ward. She began to read the articles and figured out how messed up this hospital and the people in it was. Julie then ran downstairs to find her mother and tell her what she found in her room. But her mom was already gone. Julie figured that her mom went to go check in at her new job. She grabbed her keys off the counter and heads over to the hospital. Once she gets there, she runs into the hospital. Julie sees her mom and starts to tell her what happened but then being cut off by another worker who reassures Julie’s mom that nothing Julie is saying is true. Julie’s mom tells her to go home and unpack so she can get ready for her first day of of school the next day. She heads home and follows her mother’s orders. Julie wakes up the next day to a banging on her bedroom door. She opens it up to her mother with a rash covering her entire body. Julie asks what happened to her, but her mother brushes the subject aside and tells Julie to get ready for school. After Julie’s first day of school is over, she heads to the Walnut Creek Mental Ward to bring her mom some lunch. She gets there and asks the receptionist at the desk what sector her mother is working in right now. The receptionist tells her and Julie is on her way. Once she gets to the door, she heard someone screaming. Julie tried to open the door but it was locked. The screaming continued. Julie starts to pound on the door and trying to open it. All of a sudden the screaming stops. A person in blue scrubs walks out of the room. As the person walks past Julie, she notices her mother’s necklace around the stranger’s neck. Julie forgets about the stranger and runs into the room. The room is dark. As Julie is searching around the room, she trips over something. She gets back up and turns on her phone flashlight to see what she had just tripped over. She points the light towards the object to find her mother on the ground with IV tubes tied around her neck and her face is purple. Julie tries to get the tubes off of her mother but fails to. She then checks to see if her mother is still alive. There is no pulse.
