Tuesday, October 12th

It seemed like a regular Tuesday morning when I woke up, ate breakfast, and drove to school. There was nothing alarming in morning meeting as Mr. Short announced the birthdays and wished everyone had a great day. When I left the gym, I felt a little nervous because I had three tests to take: science, history, and math. However, this mid-October Tuesday turned out to contain the scariest moment of my life
I went straight to math class after morning meeting because I wanted to prepare by practicing problems with Mrs. Morris. I was the first person there. I decided to get out my textbook to do problems by myself, but suddenly the power went out, which left me in the dark. I took out my phone, but it would not turn on. I stood up and walked to open the door when a zombie covered in blood burst through! It started shouting math problems at me such as “if x plus four divided by 16 to the second power equals three, then what does x equal?” They said that if I got it wrong, then they would eat my calculator. I’ve never had a zombie question me before, so instead I quickly ran out, leaving all my school supplies.
As I turned the corner of E Hall, there were countless zombies limping towards me, leaving me with no other direction to go but back. I headed towards the vending machines and titan café, because the mothers there would know what to do! To my surprise, my entire math class was in there, but still no sign of Mrs. Morris. We discussed what we should do about all of the zombies, and the consensus was that we had to fight. So, gathering the plastic utensils, we stormed out of the café prepared to fight the zombies. But then, just as we turned the corner to fight, all of the math teachers jumped out from B Hall and the Commons! Their clothes were ripped and dirty, and their faces were light green, as if there had been zombie makeup on them! They all laughed and said that they pranked us, to which we laughed at, as well.
In the end, everyone went back to class to take the test and I have sworn to never go to math class early again.
